Everyone wants a healthy lifestyle. Everyone wants to live a long and healthy life free from pain and discomfort and illness. I believe in a natural living ethic that demands:
- You make every attempt to keep yourself healthy and heal yourself with natural remedies, clean food, and healthy living.
- You employ natural and “alternative” practitioners to assist your body in healing itself.
- Only when ALL else fails (and in rare acute situations) do you veer into allopathic medicine.
There is one caveat. Allopathic medicine tends to diagnose well within there realm. With that said, it is often the better path to raise a skeptical eyebrow to M.D.s and do some personal soul searching and investigation before blindly following their advice. Any medical decision must be right for the person receiving it. Even when you need to go the allopathic route (and there are a variety of times when you may NEED to see a doctor), these natural healing modalities can make your stay there more bearable. Some of these modalities include:
- Reiki Energy Healing
- Adjustments in Diet and Nutrition
- Vitamins, Herbs, and Supplements
I grew up in the home of a healer, a home filled with natural living ideals. My mother is a natural healer. Here she is!
She is incredible. It would be silly to ignore what she suggests, but people do. Even I was skeptical in my younger years. Yet, no matter how crazy or wacko her cures sound, when I stop my analytical analysis and just do what she says, it works 100% of the time. When we were kids we NEVER ate anything but whole wheat bread, pasta, tortillas, etc.. We had fresh ground peanut butter and shopped in the little health food store where El Toro Meat Market stands today. We ate vegetables at EVERY meal. In high school, my brother and I woke up early for church during the week. We had to be there at 6:00 a.m. My mother woke up to make sure we sat down and ate piping hot bowls of oat bran and shaker bottles of pulpy orange juice mixed with All-One (an awesomely vitamin tasting powdered vitamin supplement). We rarely went to the doctor’s office and when we did, my mom openly questioned their advice. Momma always put herself in a position where she knew just as much about her and her children’s health as the doctors did. Look at her now. Judging by her beauty and health today, she is doing something right.
From those roots I sprung fully loaded to embrace natural living. My adventures in this amazing lifestyle take me to some amazing places. The best part is that I was given this mother and these experiences to be here for you now to help you function in your highest and best way.
I am holistic in my view of natural living. It is just that. It is not just about medicine but about a way of life that includes preventative natural care, eating for optimal health, and practicing healthy habits each and every day of my life. I give this gift of natural living to my husband and my children. They accept it with varying degrees of excitement. However, my greatest joy is to guide others on their paths through natural living to optimal health. Enjoy!
