Full Moon In Pisces Ritual – Yes Its Tomorrow

full-moon-496873_1280So I am trying to construct a full moon ritual, knowing my participants, I am even more loony. One, likely will be hesitant to participate fully, the other will joyously enjoy as much as I can volley. The best course of action is probably to do what I do & let my silly participants work it out on their own.

Let me give attribution first. I am combining a series of pieces that come from Edain McCoy’s The Sabbats and Lady of the Night, and Ed Fitch’s Magical Rites from the Crystal Well. Then I picked up other bits and pieces at websites like paganlibrary.

I plan on setting up an alter outside with bowl of water,  bowl of dirt, incense, sage, crystals…the normal jive. Then I will have a circle set out with some stones.

Casting A Circle Tonight

Candles are placed at 4 cardinal positions. As priestess points to each candle, it is lit by a participant.

Light west candle and say:

Priestess: Blessed Be the powers of water, at work tonight in this Pisces Moon – Mutable, sensual, and feeling. Hosts of the watery realm of the west, you are welcome here at this sacred place in this sacred hour. Come join us that we might together honor the Holy Mother and her consort, our Lord.

Participant 2 scatters water clockwise along the circle

Light North candle and say:

Priestess: Blessed Be the powers of earth – stable, secure, and fertile. Hosts of the dark realm of the north, you are welcome here  at this sacred place in this sacred hour. Come join us that we might together honor the Holy Mother, and her consort, our Lord.

Participant 2 scatters dirt clockwise along the circle

Light East Candle and say:

Priestess: Blessed Be the powers of air – free, thinking, and ever changing. Hosts of the light realm of the east, you are welcome here at this sacred place in this sacred hour. Come join us that we might together honor the Holy Mother and her consort, our Lord.

Light South Candle and say:

Priestess: Blessed Be the powers of fire – My primary – passionate and transforming. Hosts of the warm realm of the south, you are welcome here at this sacred place in this sacred hour. Come join us that we might together honor the Holy Mother, and her consort our Lord.

Participant 2 lights the sage and sages clockwise along the circle.

Light candle on alter in middle and say:

Priestess: Blessed be all children of the lady and lord in whatever form they take, in whichever land they inhabit. All who love the Holy Mother are welcome here tonight to share in the joy of the full moon. Offer us your blessings and protection as we share with you the lunar feast from the womb of our bounteous Lady. Come feast! the hour is nigh, the moon is high. Let all who gather here be merry, safe in our mother’s loving embrace.

All: So mote it be.

Priestess: Blessed Be Lady Moon, mother of life. Come to our circle tonight, join in the joyous enchantment of this Pisces full moon. We invoke your power. Hear us now, our mother, as we bless your bounty and your goodness. Bless us in turn with your eternal tenderness. Wrap us in the secure protection of your warm silvery light. Sustain us forever in your boundless arms.

All: Welcome Holy Mother, So Mote it be!

Priestess: Lord of the Night, beloved consort of our mother, join us now in this sacred space. Your lady rides high in the starry sky and will soon be in and of those assembled here. Come now to join us in these ancient holy rites.

All: Welcome Lord, So Mote it be!

Participant 1: We call down the Power of the Piscean Moon!

Participant 2:  During this full moon: we anchor a new truth that may have come out of taking care of certain business, we handle certain procrastinations, we eliminate energy leaks, and we get a new sense of what our true self worth is. What is your new truth? I call upon the Holy Mother, our spirit animal guides, and all helpers.

Participant 1: This is a powerful day and a powerful time. We acknowledge our personal power and tap into a new confidence that we can have the life we want, and that we deserve everything we dream.

Priestess: I draw in the Moon as the Goddess. I am divinely incarnate. As we breathe deelply in and out, it is not just air we take in, it is the soft silver light of the moon, symbol of our Lady, our Holy Mother. With every pore in our bodies, so we breathe in and out. And so does this circle become a fitting place for our Lady’s presence.

Participant 1: We are children of the Moon. We are born of shining light. When the moon shoots forth a ray, we see within it the Goddess, and ourselves.

Priestess: We call, Artemis, Aradia, Queen Isis, Arianrhod, Anumati, Ishtar, Mama Quilla, Sarpandit, and Xochhiquetzal.

All: Blessed Be.

Priestess: Behold the Goddess, the fertile and powerful mother of all living things. Let all positive and pleasurable acts commence, for these are my sacred rites, my gifts to the children. Let laughter ring from the dark hillsides. Let all hearts be light and all earthly cares fore-sworn. Let magick be afoot.

For I am the star that rises from the dark and twilight sea. Bringer of dreams, ruler of destiny, though I am known by a thousand names. Let the whole round Earth venerate me. I am nature and the beauty of the green earth. mistress of the elements. sovereign of all things spiritual. Queen of heaven. Queen of hell. Queen of the dead. Queen of the blessed immortals. I am that which is always with thee, and in thee, and of thee.

All: Blessed be the Mother. Blessed be the eternal faces of her silver light.

Priestess: Let us all take a moment to think of that which we want to release; Parts of our lives or ourselves that are not serving us; Parts that to release such a tight hold on, will allow the Mother’s light to spill in and purge and make us whole.

(after some moments)

We release our grasp on this world

All: So mote it be.

Priestess: We let the Goddess in to those dark spaces left bare

All: So mote it be.

Priestess: Let us feast

Ceremony of Cakes and Ale

Priestess: Blessed Mother of us all, I stand before you on this night of the Pisces full moon, when your energies drench the earth with the light of your pale loving eyes, to offer my love, my allegiance, and my blessings and to reaffirm that I am your child. (Holds up cake) Tonight I consecrate this cake of your earth. As we take part of you, we take part of the wisdom of the ancients. We learn more of the fields and the forests. We see the ancient way and understand the ancient lore.

All: So mote it be. All eat a bite of cake

Priestess: We thank you for the mysteries of your watery realm which sustains our spirit and imagination. We thank you for the blood of your womb which brought forth all life. By your blood all living things are blessed and made sacred. Allow me to use this symbol to fill myself with your boundless presence. Be in and of me always.

All: So mote it be. All drink a sip of ale

Priestess: Behold, the triple Goddess is one! Maiden, Mother, and Crone.

All: Earth and Heaven are one! The womb and blood, we are one with them. We are the children of the Goddess. In us may she always be manifest.

I am Goddess

I am the creative principle

I am divinity

I am alone, yet I am one with all that is.

I am a drop in the ocean and I am the tide which rises, falls, and rises again.

The Goddess is one.

She lives in me. I live in her.

Forever and always

Merry Meet, Merry Part, Merry Meet Again, So Mote it Be!

(maintain silence for a moment)
